Kathy's Sewing and Embroidery

Hello, my name is Kathy. I have over thirty years of sewing experience, with a 20 year proficiency in working with satins and other formal fabrics. I have always had an affinity for formal dresswear, even before learning to sew. My learning is a mix of learning from my mother and grandmother, followed by an “Introduction to the Basics” sewing class in high school, learning from others who had learned before me, always leveling up through printed materials in book format along with learning bespoke techniques used in Vogue patterns.

I am an older first time bride married to an LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) pastor. I have made a few vestments for my husband along with matching paraments, chasubles, and dalmatics for the church he serves.
